Where do Moisture Plants grow?

Moisture-loving plants grow in an environment with high humidity, usually near water sources, wetlands, marshes, and also in areas with wet ground. A characteristic place for moisture-loving plants are also the shores of lakes, rivers and streams.

In such an environment, the soil is usually wet and can contain a lot of organic compounds, as well as organic matter in the form of leaves and tree trunks. The air humidity is also very high and the temperature is usually moderate. In such conditions, moisture-loving plants have access to a large amount of water, which is necessary for their growth and development.

What soil is needed for moisture-loving plants?

In order to provide moisture-loving plants with appropriate growth conditions, the right type of soil should be used. For plants from wetlands and bogs, peat soil is recommended, which has a low pH level and a high content of organic matter.

In addition to moisture, the soil should also be slightly permeable. This will prevent the water from standing in the pot. We will retain moisture and at the same time prevent the formation of anaerobic zones and mold.

Pine Bark and Leca have also been added to the IMSOIL substrate, which loosen the mixture for easier access of oxygen to the roots and drainage of excess water.
