Coconut chips are a natural, organic, biodegradable and pathogen-free substrate with a slightly acidic or neutral PH. They have a porous structure, which in the soil mixture shows excellent retention and drainage properties and ensures free access of air to the roots of the plant. It provides plants with the possibility of absorbing moisture for a longer time with a limited risk of mold attacking the mixture.

Thanks to different gradation, we can choose the fiber according to the type of soil or plant species. For orchids, orchids and epiphytes we will use a thicker coconut chip due to the thickness of the roots. For more popular plants with smaller roots, a fine gradation in the form of fine coconut fibers will be better.
