In this category you will find various substrates and specialized, permeable substrate for plants. We offer ready-made mixtures of permeable substrate for succulents and cacti as well as for palm trees, exotic plants and other plants that do not like water stagnation in the pot. The common feature of permeable substrates is primarily to ensure the free flow of water through the pot, but depending on the needs of our plant, we can meet with mixtures with various other properties.
Exotic plants such as Calathaa, Syngonium of Wendlandia, Spathiphyllum, Alocasia Black Velvet, Alocasia Dragon Scale, Philodendrons, Monstera which like moisture, usually do not tolerate stagnant water, the stagnation of which causes rotting of the roots and the death of the plant. They usually grow in tropical forests, where there is high air and soil humidity and high temperatures. They need a permeable substrate that will provide air access to the roots of the plant and at the same time will keep the humidity at the right level. It is worth remembering about an additional layer of drainage at the bottom of the pot.

Due to the properties of succulents and cacti, such as the accumulation of water in the leaves in the event of drought, the substrate in which they grow must be permeable. Cacti, prickly pears, agaves, crassula, sansevieria and other succulents require low-fertile and very well-drained substrates. Such a mixture must have a loose structure and a high content of skeletal parts, i.e. expanded clay, sand and gravel, which ensure proper drainage and high permeability.
These tall and beautiful exotic plants need a loose, fertile, humus and, above all, permeable substrate with a neutral PH. Palms will feel good in universal or compost soil loosened with quartz sand, clay and perlite, gravel and fine expanded clay.
