Gardening expanded clay

Is expanded clay harmful?

It is chemically inert, odorless and resistant to moisture, mold and fungi, and remains completely safe for the environment.

Advantages of adding LECA to the substrate:

  • Sprinkling a layer of expanded clay at the bottom of the pot, in which the flowers are to grow, helps in the effective outflow of water, protecting the roots of the plant from rotting. Such use of expanded clay is possible due to its complete water resistance.
