Wet and dry Snake Beddings.
The most popular dry breeding medium for snakes is Lignocel. Packed in 5 to 120L packages, this hose substrate is an all-natural product consisting of fine and very soft wood shavings. Free from resins and inclusions, it is a very uniform substrate.
On the other hand, we have supporters of breeding on wet substrate f.e. fiber and coconut chips. We have prepared Reptiblock products for them. They are three times washed and dedusted coco substrates of the highest quality. They come in three gradations. Thanks to this, we can adjust the substrate to the size and type of the snake.
For what substrates we should be carefull?
Sand - ordinary sand - eaten in excessive amounts clogs the intestines.
Garden soil - unfertilized soil without proper preparation also falls off due to the risk of introducing various parasites into the terrarium.
Acidic peat - As the pH is not neutral, it is important to check whether the species we grow accepts an acidic environment, acidic pH will work for some, definitely not for others.
