What substrate for a gecko?

It should be remembered that individual species require different conditions, the substrate for a gecko should be adapted to its needs, above all, it should be safe for our reptile, it is often also designed to fulfill many functions in the tank itself. Some species, such as the Leopard Gecko, require firm substrates that do not stick to the food as much as fine, loose substrates(check the substrate for Gecko with Clay available in our offer). You can also bet on substrates that can be digested by the lizard to some extent (e.g. cellulose substrate) or use corn pellets, which can lead to blockage when eaten in large quantities. The crested gecko feels good in coconut fiber, as it requires more humidity in the terrarium. It is good to plant terrariums of other species with live vegetation, therefore the substrate for the Mourning Gecko should also nourish the plants, e.g. active substrate for the gecko.
