The length of the corn snake terrarium should be about 2/3 of its length, and the width of 1/3. The minimum dimensions of the terrarium are therefore usually 80x40x40 cm (in the case of an adult specimen of average length). However, if we decide to breed 2 individuals, it should be larger.
The Corn Snake naturally lives in forested areas in a variety of climates. It can be found both in dry and steppe areas, as well as in humid rainforests. He loves to climb trees and swim. It is worth providing him with a pool of water and roots, plants and shelves for climbing. The corn snake does not require exposure to the UVB lamp, because it obtains vitamin D3 from food. He also needs a dark place in the terrarium. Taking this into account, you can completely resign from lighting, especially if the terrarium is heated with a mat or heating cables.
