When will clay with sand for a terrarium be better?

In fact, in the case of most desert reptiles, it depends mainly on the breeder's preferences and what visual effect he wants in the terrarium. Sand with clay is a special composition of sand, rock aggregate and clay, characteristic of some desert regions. Thanks to the clay content, after wetting and drying again, it creates a hard and compact structure in which you can build natural pits, caves and tunnels, as well as construct walls. If only sand is used, hiding places and the like must be introduced into the terrarium separately. The visual effects can therefore be very different, but our reptile will feel good in both editions.
