In this category you will find specialized substrates for vivariums, paludariums and plant terrariums. The substrate for the vivarium should be adapted to the microclimate we want to recreate in the tank. The vivarium is a piece of tropical forest, it can be said that it is a miniature botanical garden. So we have to think about what plants we want to grow in it (it is best to choose those with similar requirements), what exactly the substrate they need and what humidity should be kept inside. Remember that in a vivarium or paludarium there is no water outlet and with ordinary watering it is easy to overflow and as a result - rotting of the roots. The best moisture supply system is sprinkling.

What Substrate for the Vivarium?

Setting up a vivarium is also creating a microclimate in the tank. we can successfully use an bioactive substrate that contains organic matter, minerals and sometimes microorganisms that enable the self-cleaning process of the mixture (if the bioactive substrate does not contain microorganisms, it means that the substrate is prepared for adding cleaning fauna separately).
