Specialized terrarium sand looks extremely aesthetic and natural, and strongly encourages lizards to cultivate natural behaviors such as digging. However, loose sand for the Leopard Gecko is recommended for more experienced breeders who are experienced in observing the reptile's behavior and will notice any irregularities.
