Habistat Bedding for Leopard Gecko
A bedding substrate for the Leopard Gecko Packaging 5kg and 10kg bag
For the Leopard Gecko, it is best to use a special ready-made substrate based on Habistat sand. Additional inclusions will also be welcome in the mix.
Leopard gecko lives in desert and semi-arid mountain areas of Minor and Central Asia where natural sand or rocks occurs. The sand for the Leopard Gecko should allow it to dig freely and not be too sticky and wet. Sand with fine lumps of clay, loam or pebbles will be suitable for safe breeding.
Some breeders practice keeping Leopard Geckos on coconut fiber. This is where the Repti Block brand comes across, producing washed and dust-free coco substrates of various grades.

From the point of view of breeding digging species, regardless of whether they are desert species or not, the most important thing is the gradation of the substrate. Sand is naturally a very fine substrate which prevents clumping and dries quickly.
On the other hand, coconut fiber, due to its structure, is a substrate that keeps moisture for longer and this must be taken into account when breeding Leopard Geckos.
