Prickly pear flakes are a great natural food for many reptile species such as turtles, agams, iguanas, Uromastyx and more! It is often eaten naturally by many reptiles in the wild.

Prickly pear also contains a very high level of calcium also in relation to phosphorus and is naturally high in moisture due to its structure and therefore supports hydration. Depending on the size of the animal, whole pieces can be given or cut into cubes.

All weights are approximate and rounded to the nearest 100 g, always up in excess.

How to use Opuntia Pads ?

Serve in sliced or whole pieces.

Storage:

It is best to store the prickly pear at room temperature in a dry and ventilated place, e.g. on a shelf or drawer. It should NOT be kept in a refrigerator as its durability will be significantly shortened. Keeping it in an airtight foil bag also shortens its usefulness.
